I do have to question the use of words like “best” when the consensus is the benchmark standard is pretty appalling.
perhaps “least embarrassing when compared internationally” …
Nah Micallef is on par with the International acts. Especially when you realise he’s working with a smaller talent pool, less money and news events akin to the local paper.
When it comes to Australian comedy “best of a bad bunch” was shortened to “best” a decade ago.
